The 300m long wall was the covered with the different works and styles of several artists. Each painting depicts its own meaning and the longest remaining part of the Berlin wall was aptly named - The East Side Gallery. The barb wires that once sit on top the the wall was replaced by the cylindrical pipes. The smooth surface of the pipes prevents people who are desperate enough to grab onto the barb wires from scaling over the wall.
