return

I'm back. No signs of any monster at loch ness. No chance to battle the monster of the dark waters. No heroic feat. No triumphant victory.

damn guess i'm just ordinary.

hiatus

I would be leaving for my much deserved break this friday to explore highlands and hunt for the loch ness monster. With or without the monster's head as a trophy, I should be back by end of April.

being alone gives me time for myself. till then.

lie

Heroes. Some, like Peter Petrelli, are born with abilities to change the world, he , however, acquires his ability. He lies by omission, deceives, misleads, changes his personality like a chameleon and tells half truth. He uses it so often that he is becoming better at it. But like all lies that are spinned, the cant stand the test of time. Things that he had once said fall off the pedestal of truth one by one as time slowly unveils his lies. When you think you have acquired enough evidences to call his bluff, he summoned his other acquired gift - denial. The two gifts complement each other; one offensive and one defensive. With his powers, he manipulates human minds, painting them a picture which he wants them to see. Was what I saw what he had wanted me to see? I am not sure. Maybe I have superpowers too, I may be able to spot a liar from 100miles or perhaps I have the ability to be overly critical. But I hope that it is not the real him.

Like all superheroes, his identity will be protected.

tour eiffel

Please forgive me and my blatant attempt to make seeing the Eiffel Tower sounds like a run of the mills event, but it kind of is. For those with borderline tolerance for my ego, dig this. HAHAHAHAHA. alright.. sorry. =p

Yesterday, for the n th time, i went to admire one of the world's most amazing engineering feat. Then during the n th visit, I realized for the 1 st time that I had not post any photos of the Eiffel Tower. Voilà!

incarcerated

When he closed the door behind him, he sensed an overwhelming wave of contained energy waiting to pour out of the room. The person who stayed there could be reckoned to that of a young soul trapped in a constitution cocoon. The sparse, almost zen-like, interior of the room, and neat clutters of books, postcards and whatsoevers, shed a glimpse of the owner's futile search for tranquility. Trapped in a institutionalized society, he followed the norms dutifully but unwillingly. The inconsistency between his ideals and actions makes him a walking lost cause. He did not commit any crimes, but he is incarcerated because he conforms to the norms of society. All he wants to be is to be himself.

outstanding

Even among friends, loneliness has its way of creeping up to you. sometimes i feel so out of place here. I look forward to friends who visit me, cos they bring with them a familiarity; reminding me of the home and reviving the part of me that died the moment i arrived in France.

Spot the odd one out.

Ring. Ring. He fumbled a little as he reached for his phone in the dark. Who would call at this ungodly hour? He looked at the clock. Great it's 3am... whoever is doing this better have a good reason.

Pétanque

Bustling with people young and old, the Garden of Luxembourg attracted us like honey to ants. The moment we stepped into it we could feel the place overflowing with life. People were sitting around and being baked under the sun, many had a book in hand. We found ourselves a spot and try to fit into the crowd. Siting in the company of strangers, we let ourselves melt into oblivion as we engaged in our own conversation. Before we know it, an hour had passed; we decided to explore the rest of the garden. The apiary was a disappointment; the bees were all busy collecting honey to entertain us. sigh.. they are as busy as bees. We walked around for a few minutes, little do we expect, we were soon sitting on out butts again watching senior citizens throwing iron balls in a game of pétanque until it was time for dinner. what a way to spend a lazy afternoon in France.. but i like.

and again

Even after I left the school compound after my last paper, I did not feel the exhilarating exuberance that one usually feel after exams. No crazy screams of joy. No one changing into sport attire for their customary after-exam soccer. Instead, we all retire into our room for an afternoon siesta to prepare ourselves for the long day of lessons that awaits us tomorrow.

relief.

tranquility

It was six o clock in the morning. The air was cool as the morning sun was still hidden behind the peaks of French Southern Alps. The Geneva lake reflected the light tint of blue of the early morning. It was a picture of tranquility. He sat there watching the swans float on the surface of the water occasionally creating soft ripples with an abrupt movement. When one of the swans plunged its head into the water, he wished he could do the same too. Not to look for fishes, but to refresh his head to look for answers.
